Research Interests

My current research is mostly concerned with quantum chaos theory, which deals with the quantum properties of classically chaotic systems.  This has applications in numerous branches of physics, and may be important to gaining a deeper understanding of the quantum properties of black holes.  It also provides a simple explanation for the emergence of thermal behavior in an isolated, many-body quantum system.

I am also interested in astroparticle physics, and have done extensive work on the possibility that the lightest supersymmetric particle comprises the dark matter.
